Adding a second sink to existing drain/vent
1 Attachment(s)
I am adding a "party sink" or wet bar sink to my rec room and I want to know the right/best way to add the drain. The new sink will be on the other side of the wall from the existing bathroom sink drain/vent. Can I just connect into the existing PVC line with an additional Y or a Double Y like the image attached? If either of these options are no good, what would you suggest to make this work? Thanks for your feedback, time and knowledge sharing!

Adding a new Y below the original should work fine--The double Ys some times 'back wash' into the drain across from it--avoid that possibility by adding a second single one.

With plumbing questions a picture really helps get a lot of accurate suggestions---

Your question is fine--this note is for the others watching this---Mike----

i would set a tee-y right on top of the existing tee. typically bar sink counters are higher then vanity tops and bar sinks are usually not as deep so it should work out good. check your height before doing anything.
