Adding laundry sink - Can I "T" into washer drain?

I have an open-top drain pipe that runs down through the basement cement. Currently, my washing machine and water softener drain into the open top of the pipe. I want to add a laundry sink to the mix. Can I simply "T" into the drain about half way down or does something else need to be done to prevent the washing machine discharge from flowing back into the sink? Attached is a little diagram of what I am looking at.

Thanks for any advice you all can throw my way!

There is a possibility that the washer will flood the sink if the drain ever slows down---that will be the only major draw back to that set up----and it is not code compliant---

Will it drain properly? Yes----

Would this work? Even if it did siphon out the sink p-trap in this configuration, does it really matter? Doesn't the under-floor trap take care of sewer gas?

I'm not a plumber and I have learned a lot in trying to figure this out. Past help and additional ideas are greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
