I have a home in Marion Ia. that was stubbed for a sink and toilet in the basement. I'm ready to finish the basement and want to add a tub shower stub. The sink stub is vented so I can tie into that for the tub. This vent line comes down from upstairs catches the sink in the basement than catches the wash macine drain hos than goes into the floor. I assume below the floor is where I need to cut in for the new tub drain? When this vent goes into the floor it is 2"cast iron. How do I tap into the cas iron for the 2" pvc tub drain?
you really need to at least consult with a plumber who can actually look at your job. He would need to know the distances from fixtures to vents and probably alot more info. You can't just wing this.
My orginal plan was to tie the drain into the soil pipe which is 45" from the new tub and shower location. The vent pipe for the stubbed sink is 50" from the new location. The washing machine stand pipe is 10' diagonally from the new location. So I need some advice. Thanks
