Adding a 1/2 bath

I am adding a 1/2 bath directly behind the main bathroom. Can electric be run along side PVC (both drain and vent lines from upstairs). I am trying to figure out how to put the fan / light where it needs to go without running electric next to PVC in the ceiling.

Thanks!

There "may" be electrical codes that cover this. I know you cannot run electrical in the same trench as plumbing, but not sure inside the house.
