acoustic insulation for copper pipes

What is the best insulation to lower the noise of copper pipes? Neoprene? fiberglass? PE foam? mass loaded vinyl rools?
What about for "plastic" pipes?

I understand the value of each for thermal insulation, but not to know how they rate for sound insulation.
thanks

I've never even heard of copper pipes making a noise unless there's air in the lines and it's making a water hammer.

I would use preformed fiberglass pipe wrap. It comes in 1/2" or 1" wall thickness. I don't know the sound value but its what we use to pipes for condensate and heat loss.
If your pipes are contacting wood you might not be successful no matter which product you use
