Access behind laundry sink

Hi all, newbie here...

I need to replace the sink in the laundry room but the sink is installed in a very small cabinet which has tiny double doors in the front impossible to get into and a solid panel on the side. I don't see how I can get access behind the sink to remove the old faucet and then to install the new one.

What am I missing - it must be possible!! :)

Thanks

is the sink installed with clips to mount the sink to counter top? remove the clips if there. diconnect drain and water supplies at the angle stops, you may need to slide a putty knife inbetween the sink and counter top to brake a caulk joint. pull the sink out.

It may be eisier to do it this way to replace the faucet, then reinstall.

welcome to our world! it can be tough to get under sinks, but i can't remember one i haven't gotten done. sometimes pulling the sink is easier, but generally all i need is a good light and a basin wrench. maybe a couple beers after work too

Yes there are clip type attachments so I will remove them, disconnect the drain abd then I guess you are saying I can tilt the sink up and out of the way? Good idea!

However when I want to connect the new taps does'nt the sink need to be flush with the cabinet to tighten the final attachment?

when you pull the sink out you will be able to install your faucet and some new extensions (while it is out) which will allow you to make the final connections when the sink is placed back in the hole

Oh I get it - because I should use those flex hoses which are not there right now right?

more so you need to beable to make your final connections as easy as possible, so if you need extensions then it will be eiser to put them on while the sink is out
