abandoned washing machine drain

What is the best way to plug an abandoned washing machine drain. It is currently located in the separation wall of the old garage and living room, and is the farthest point in the drainage system.I will be moving the washer to the opposite end of the house, removing the separation wall and converting the garage to living space. Thanks, jlew.
