4inch CI waste under the basement (join to PVC)

Hi all

Ive done alot of reading on this, the house is c.1940-1945.

I need to dig up the orginal waste pipe in the basement, its 4inch CI with a really basic clear out, the idea will be to (under the floor) break off the old CI and connect it with a Fernco then fasion a new clear out. All bends are sweep as needed (as no designs in complete yet)

Thought i would check, i am ok with putting a shielded Fernco under the floor then covering with concrete?

Overview
4inch CI > Fernco shielded 4 clamp > 4inch PVC glued to 3inch PVC
[4CI > clamp > 4PVC > glue > 4to3 PVC]

CLAMP

I am still playing with either 4CI > 4PVC or 4CI > 3PVC with the above clamps, your input would be good.

This is in Canada where the ground does get below -10 in the winter. While here, whats the best way to dig up the old pipe and cut it to a nice finish without shattering the pipe before i get to it?

In regards to getting a nice cut with a smooth finish, I just cut my 3" CI drain pipe with a diamond blade in an angle grinder. I made it through the cut in maybe a minute with a super smooth edge remaining. I tried a sawzall first and it was doing a pitiful job before I remembered that I had the angle grinder.
