4" Hole for portable air conditioner
Hey everyone....first timer here, and already I have one for you all. I am wanting to air condtion my garage, so I insulated the garage door panels with foylon, and just picked up a DeLonghi CF210 Portable Air Conditioner. It has a 4" hose that needs to be run through the wall to the outside of the garage. Inside of my garage is standard sheetrock, with the outside being good ol' red brick. My question is, how do I go about getting this 4" hole through the inside of my garage through the brick wall??????

Thanks all for any input you may give me.

You can rent a roto-hammer and also rent a mason boring bit to drill out the hole you need. Drill from outside in, make sure you know where studs are located so you don't hit one on center.

Using a chisel or a drill with a masonry bit, remove the mortar and necessary bricks until the hole is large enough. I would draw a circle pattern, drill holes, and then hammer it out.
