20+ Gallons an hour leak - I can't find it

I have a leak and can not locate it - it's not the toilet or anything inside the house... I can hear a hissing/pressure sound next to the water spicket outside, that spicket is off the main water line that goes to the house. What does that mean? Is the leak in the line before/near the spicket? The gound is soft but not soggy. PLEASE HELP!!

Are you on a well or municipal water supply? If on a well, with all of the faucets closed, does your pump turn on? If a municipal supply, same thing, with all of the faucets closed, is your meter running? Is your house built on a slab, basement, or crawl space? Based solely on your initial post, it sounds as if the line supplying your outdoor spigot could be ruptured, whether in the wall or basement, which it seems would be evident enough, in the crawl space, which you should investigate if you have not already done so, or under your slab, which may not be as obvious at first glance, but these are only guesses at this point.

is it possible the water spigot outside had a hose hooked to it and recently the temps have gone below freezing?
if so, the supply line under the house could have frozen and bursted, spraying water against the outside wall. That's why you are hearing it outside. Always unhook hoses when temps are low, even if it's a frost free unit. Doesn't matter, they'll freeze too if there's a hose on them.

Is this a yard hydrant? If so, dig down till find the connecting pipe or water
