I have a broad question to throw out there.......in the near future i have 2 bathrooms that will be gutted and redone....my question that i have is which one to do first......Both bathrooms are one above the other (main floor and basement)...which would make sense to do first....upstairs or the basement?? Also as for the basement bath....is there a way to find out if all the connections were done "properly" without having to dig up the floor ....i didnt do the original basement bath ....i just want to make sure that the connections are alright and done to code....thanks for the help:thumbsup:
Did the basement toilet and fixtures work properly up until now? Without digging up piping, that is all you have, to know if it was correct. If you are replacing the main stack, it would make sense to do the basement bath first. Whichever one you do first, you will need to plug any open sewage lines to prevent gas from entering the house.
Everything in the basement bathroom "appears" to be operating properly....the shower and sink i'm a little suspicious of however cause the basement floor drain is roughly 3 to 4 feet from them and it looks as though it was dug up
