1/2" soft copper pipe is stuck
I woke up this morning with a broken pipe under my house. The supply line to the toilet had ruptured right where it penetrates the floor and against an exterior wall. I turned off the water supply but unfortunately there was no cutoff for this supply line. I installed a cutoff so I could restore water to the rest of the house. Now the problem! After disconnecting the fittings from the toilet and cutting the pipe under the house, I can't pull the remaining pipe out from either end. I have tried channel lock pliers but it won't budge. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Try a jig saw with a metal blade and cut a slot through the pipe so it can fold up into itself.

Thanks Bob,

I will give that a try and let you know!

I can't get the saw close enough to the pipe as the pipe is run right up against the exterior wall and it is broken off flush with the subfloor! :(

Pound it out with a hammer and suitable drive pin (old screwdriver, piece of 1/2" rebar or anything that fits that you can pound on) from above.

Post some pictures and don't start trying things blindly. I've created more headaches by rushing into a job like this.:furious:
