Unidentified insect moved into basement

Hi all. We don't spend much time in the basement these days but we just discovered a minor infestation of this bug. A good 20 or 30 are dead behind a bed but there are a few scattered in closets and other rooms of the basement.

Not sure what it is or how they are getting in the house (heat ducts?). Any ideas would be appreciated!

Interesting, how did you train it to roll over like that.....

Ha!

I'm thinking it is a weevil, but not sure which variety and I am pretty much guessing.

It also looks like a weevil to me. They infested stored products such as flour, pancake mix, dried flowers/fruits, old rat/mouse bait in ceilings, pet food, etc. Start looking at things in storage that you havenít looked at in a long time.
