Are they (tiny spiders) causing this destruction?

I keep finding these piles of stuff in my garage. Today I noticed small spiders with small webs (see spider circled in red) living just above the pile. Could this tiny delicate spider be causing this destruction or is it something else in there and the spiders living above the piles coincidental?

Not shown in the pic is a strip of crown molding that goes all the way around the garage about 6" off the floor. Below the crown molding is cement, above it is drywall. The piles of stuff seem to be falling down from behind this crown molding.

I have a 5 y/o concrete block and metal framed home in Florida.

I'm thinking that you either have termites or carpenter ants behind those crown moldings and those spiders have set up thier little restaurants just waiting for the little buggers to drop in!

Could be carpenter bees as well. Each bee will drill a single hole and leave behind one pile of saw dust like that.
Pop that crown molding off and see what you have under there. Also look all the way up to the ceiling in case it's coming from up there.
