Termites on my back yard...How bad is this?

Hi everyone,

Today while doing some cleaning and landscaping a found quite a few termintes under some tree logs on my backyard. This really got me concern.

I bought my house last year in April, and it was tent fumigated before we moved in. Therefore I assume that the termites were exterminated in the house. This logs I found are about 25 to 30 feet away from my house... Is this really bad news and does it mean that i will need to fumiate my house again? Or is this not unusual and I should start a treatment on my backyard to get rid of this pest?

Please, let me know what you think. I am really worried. This is my first house and I really do not know how to take this. Obviously termites is never good news.

Where are you located ?

My last house I sprayed the house perimeter & the wood fence every year
Termites can travel, so best to eliminate them

I live in Southern California, about 20 miles east of Los Angeles.

I will be spraying the perimeter and the wood fence, same as you did with your last house. Should I be concern with these termintes been in my house already?. Is there a treatment that I would spray all over the backyard to kill the termites without affecting trees or plants?
