DIY Fruit Fly trap

I made this simple fruit fly trap and within 5 minutes, I caught all the flies you see in the picture. I was pretty impressed.

It's simple: put some citrus-scented dishwashing liquid in a container and set the container where the flies are. Doesn't get much simpler than that.

Just thought I'd share.

Any citrus-scented liquid soap should work.

Caught these all in five minutes! This container has about the same diameter of a silver dollar and is only about two inches high.

DIY Fruit Fly trap

Did you know that apple cider vinegar and dish soap will catch them too.
