Good job. The gel works good for pavement (small) ants. Keep placing the Combat and gel for about three weeks after you stop seeing them for nighttime activity.

It's like heaven.

Worth a shot!
Wow, seems drastic. So what did you do, mix a little sugar with some yellow cake?

I had a similar experience and at the time I neglected to laugh! lololol~! I've had a company come and spray around the house, but I don't feel like this will do it! I wonder how long before I should try other things. Along with the sawdust, 2 4 inch nails fell down!

I hired a company to come out and look for termites because I saw the sawdust - they said it was carpenter ants - I've seen a lot of sawdust and broken up wood coming out from underneath my basement door frame. He told me he would spray the perimeter of the house and shed and that the ants would crawl through it and bring it to the nest. I believe the stuff they use is the same as the medicine put on our dog for fleas. It is harmless to humans. However, when I called and asked this morning how long I should wait to rebuild the door frame, the person on the phone said wait two weeks and if I find live ants when I take the wood down, that they should come back and spray into the walls. Yikes! more money! I had a dead tree taken down last week in the area - I'm hoping the nest went out with the tree!
