I have an L shaped home layout with the the front covered porch shaded by the house. It makes great shade all day long and only in the late evening when the sun is low does sunlight directly hit the front door.
I am getting an abundance of critters in all shapes and sizes loitering right outside the front door. Horseflies, mosquitos, beetles its getting worse as it heats up here in Arizona. I've been experimenting with oils and it seems like the bugs are just willing to put up with the smells to be in the shade
I don't even exit through the front door as to not get swarmed and let them in. Obviously this is embarrassing for me anytime someone delivers or comes by. Any suggesstions? I really don't want to do insecticides as I also don't want piles of dead bugs on the front porch as well.
