Hi all,
We have a 1914 craftsman bungalow with tons of trim that some fool (I said it!

) painted white. We LONG to restore the old fir trim to it's original beauty, and would even be willing to spend what will probably be the ENTIRE summer stripping, sanding, staining and varnishing the window & door trim and baseboards, but we have brand new WHITE VINYL WINDOWS (which we also didn't install, but what can you do).
The question is, on a scale of 1-10, how tacky is it to have a medium-colour stained fir baseboards and window/door trim when the windows themselves are stark white vinyl? Right now there are high-end white blinds on all the windows too... does this increase the tacky-factor if we do the wood window trim?
Thanks you all in advance!!
