Unreachable window treatments ?

Aprox 3x5ft window in entry way, above front door area. 2 story/lots area of entryway.

We like the extra light it brings in during the day, but at night when we're upstairs in the game room, anyone on the street can peer in.

Are there blinds that can be lowered/closed from below (ie long cord, ect) ?

I hate to put in a remotely controlled, battery operated set of blinds-- that seems a but unreliable over time to me.

Comments ?

One consideration would be draperies with a pull cord you can extend down to the area within reach.

Precision is always relative to the surrounding degree of perfection.
