Solidly built - and affordable - bathroom vanity

We are adding a 3/4 bath and need a vanity with a top that is about 30" wide and 22" deep, with some kind of back splash and one side splash.

We see particle board versions at the Big Box home improvement stores that have bad reviews and look flimsy - but look good - for maybe $350.

We see real wood versions at good plumbing supply stores that are well built and look good - for $750 and (way) up.

We want something that is well built but also affordable.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Yes you are going to pay for Plywood with Veneer. Which is what the majority of the good ones are. Just the doors will be solid wood. You need to be looking at the "Flat Pack" Ready To Assemble style vanity cabinets.

Maybe something bad, maybe something good. I guess we'll never know, 'cause you're going to guard it. You won't touch it, will you?

You want quality on the cheap? Build it yourself.

I do all my own cabinets.....it's not hard. I don't do the door and drawers any more.....it's easier and just as cheap to buy those.

If you have a Kreg pocket hole setup and biscuit cutter...then face frames and base cabinets are quick. It's the staining and finishing that takes the time....and love....

Thanks. Good ideas/advice.

Unfortunately, I don't have those tools or your skills - and probably wouldn't use them enough anyway.
