Do you think that granite or marble installers will have some "scrap" sizes that I could get for cheaper than $60ish or whatever per square foot installed?
Without knowing any better I'd think that there would be some scrap left over from the big sheets they get in that they'd love to make a few bucks off of.

definitely worth asking. . . I was told by my installer that teh scraps are ground up, mixed with epoxy, and formed into the various hybrid countertops like corian, silestone, etc
