furniture arrangement in family room

Rectangular room. One wall is stacked stone with an offcenter fireplace and a very high mantle. Adjacent wall is all french doors. Adjacent to that wall is entry to the hall. That leaves one wall to put the TV on that is opposite the fireplace wall. How do we arrange the furniture to see the fireplace, but still be comfortable to watch TV?

furniture arrangement in family room

Welcome Anya, to the best DIY'r site on the web.

Ditch the TV and make the room focus on the fireplace, not seeing the dimensions of the room, so laying out furniture is just a guess.

When its all said and done there is usually more said than done
