Question

bathroom vanity light height above mirror

what is the preferred height of bathroom vanity lights above the mirror? i have about 16" between the top of the mirror and the ceiling, the center (for symmetry) would be 8" for the vertical center of the light to be exactly in between. but i am thinking that illumination would be better if it were closer to the mirror.

thoughts?

thanks

Boy it would be nice if there was a standard-----You artistic eye is the tool.

I agree with your thinking--closer to the mirror will look best---

Depends on the shape of the light and the size of your mirror. I would usually say between 2-4 inches. If the lights hang down, then the point at which they won't be below the top of the mirror.
