Which woodfiller is best?

I have a 120 yr old woodfloor that I just discovered under some old carpeting. I have some cracks to fill, and I was wondering if the cheap stuff like "elmers" I see at Wal-Mart works just as good as the other stuff I see at hardware stores. I have some significant cracks to fill!

I like Abatron WoodEpox. It's a two part epoxy restoration kit. This might be overkill for what you are doing though. Once you get it in there and hardened I seriously doubt you'll have any issues with it though.

I find the Elmers to be too "soft" for filling in large areas. It also seems to have a tendency to shrink and crack when it dries.

That being said, I have done some very nice repairs with it.
