Wood flooring over TILE?????
Hi, im new to this forum.
I live in my parents apartment next to their house. I have been slowly fixing what i can and planing a reno. Im an amatuer, so when i get into any structural or electrical or plumbing or any thing regarding safety, i will call a pro. as far as everything else i want to do it my self. My question is:
Can you put wood flooring on top of ceramic tile without damaging the tile? (in case my parents decide to go back to tile when i move out. highly unlikely) what would be the best option and is it even possible to do it so it can last. Laminate? engineered? Vinyl??? please help any tips. if it is not possible ill just keep the tile i hate.

I dont see why you couldnt use laminate with a quality pad so long as its understood to be a temporary solution.

thanks for the fast reply. I wonder how long something like this would last? and is this pad your talking about something you have to do anyways????
edit: i meant do you have to do that even for a permanant flooring solution

Yrs must install pad with laminate. You will see it at the store. The floor will last as long as you take care of it and follow factory instructions and care recommendations.
