wood flooring installation in the master's bedroom closet

Hi folks,

I have a question regarding wood floor installation in the master's suite closet. We has carpet before, and we are replacing it with click wood flooring.

On Wednesday, one of the contractors told us that the they will remove the sliding door and its track of the master's closet, and install the floor, and put the sliding door back.

Today, that particular contractor did not come back. The rest of the team told us that the size of the sliding door and track will not fit the wood floor (the carpet was squeezed down to fit in the sliding door's track. They can not squeeze in the wood flooring for the sliding door's track. They have to leave the carpet under the sliding door. they will squeeze and cover it with the wood, so that we will not see the carpet, and the sliding door will not move.

Does it sound right? What is the right thing to do?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hard to say without photos. Your installers will have to do more than just click together some flooring to make that work. Removing the door, installing the flooring, then re-installing the door sounds like an approach. Not doing anything certainly represents another approach, but hardly the result you intended, is it?
