Wood Flooring etc
I just bought a small condo and have a few improvements I'd like to make, specifically, wood flooring for kitchen/entryway, sand sill countertops, new cabinet doors for starters.
-Where should I go to have the flooring done? I've heard Home Depot does shotty work. Is it too difficult to do yourself?
-Any suggestions on specific types of wood?
Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
Make sure if you have a condo association to check on if they have limits or rules regarding hard surface flooring.
I recommend Flooring America or Carpetone. Either website will help you find a local store. Get bids for those 2 and another store near you.
Make sure the bids are on the same product.
I recommend www.kahrs.com
Floating wood over their thick pad will help with the noise and give you a good value for the buck.
Their are lots of good wood companies out there. This is just my recommendation.
