Wood floor recommendation for radiant heat

Any recommendations for what type of wood flooring to lay over a radiant system? I'm hearing Bamboo works well..

Thanks

I have no recommendations. However, this is an interesting read: http://www.hoskinghardwood.com/radiant-heat/default.asp

Thanks. I've seen that article but I'm getting mixed answers as to whether you definitely need to use quartersawn

Based on your name, I'll presume that you're installing a hydronic system!? If so, quartersawn is the only one you should use, short of engineered. Most solid mfr's won't warranty their product over hydronic systems.

Yes it's a hydronic system. I was actually looking into a solid bamboo. I've been told since bamboo is more stable than oak, maple etc.. it would be ok over radiant. I can't find quartersawn in the darker color family that the wife wants
