Where to center the t-molding under doorway

Hi, I am installing laminate flooring in the hallway and 3 bedrooms.
My question is where should I leave the 1 inch gap required for t-molding under the doorway. Should it be under the doorstop or directly under the door? or does it matter. It would be easier for me to install in under the door, then when I install the flooring in each bedroom I just have to follow the perimeter of the wall without extending into the hallway.

Appreciate any advice.

It's 'supposed' to be under the door so that with the door closed the transition is invisible. But it isn't critical.

although not critical, it is from an asthetic point of view the way to break that and put the transition under the doorway like was stated in the previous post
