What to use as underlayment?
OK, tearing into the bathroom...pulled the linoleum (three layers worth  ) and found the flooring is particle board (or chip board to some) has been wet a couple times and has a couple soft spots near the edges (nothing structural)...So, I'm going to remove the soft spots and fill with wood putty...

Now, I want to use self stick tiles...and since the flooring is rough due to it being particle board and from the mastic used for the linoleum, I want to use a underlayment...but what to use? I know that 1/8" or 1/4" masonite is common...but what about a wet environment such as a bathroom...especially since there will be seams every 12"s from the selfstick tiles...

Is there a water resistant or waterproof option I can look for??
