What Length Staples

I am going to install 3/4" White Oak Hardwood Flooring in 3 1/2" wide, tongue and grove. What would be the best length of staples to use with a Air Floor Stapler. I was thinking either 1 3/4" or 2". These will be 15 gauge.

What Length Staples

The rule of thumb for nails is 1/3 of the length of the nail in the material to be fastened, 2/3 of the length in the material to be fastened to.
