What kind of laminate should I go with?

Hello, I am wondering what kind of laminate all of you diy-ers would suggest? I have children and pets and need something that is pretty durable. This will be my 2nd time installing laminate and I would like to upgrade our Costco laminate. I am interested in Shaw and Vainer but, am open to suggestions. Anyone with any problems, tips, or advice with their own personal experience would also be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you

The thickness of the laminate has nothing to do with durability. I'd check out Wilsonart. They are shutting down their laminate division and offering huge discounts with all warranties intact for the next few months. Wilsonart Red Label has one of the best wear layers out there. It's more like countertop laminate than normal laminate flooring. Much much thicker wear layer.

The only way to tell is to take home samples and scratch them with a screwdriver and see which one is hardest to scratch...thickness isn't as important as the quality, sheen, and durability of the finish layer....
