It's in pretty good shape (except for some water damage in the kitchen when the house was in foreclosure/vacant). I know very little about flooring. Is it worth refinishing some day? I'm assuming since it's held up since the 60's it must be decent flooring and durable. What's your opinion on this type of flooring?
Thanks so much!
It is a floor that lasts a long time. The only problem I know of would be the glue used. The glue tends to break down over the years. The floor may be secured to the floor now. But, when you try to refinish it the weight and power of the sander may start breaking them loose. When your at the point of replacing or refinishing you might try to sand it. You have the same thickness as a 3/4" floor has above the tounge. If it does break up you will have to replace it. All you would be out is the rental price of the sander.
