What cement to help flatten a floor to install Laminate flooring?

There is a section in my room that has (at it's highest point) 1.25" lower then the rest of the room. From that little step it slowly raises over about 4'.

I want to install laminate right over the concrete but this section is screwing me up.

So, in order to flatten out that area, what kind of concrete/cement do I use to fill in that area?

if the area has voids or dips, use a self-leveling compund. this will bring area flush with rest of floor. prime concrete with latex primer using paint roller. Pour SLC onto floor. use flat trowel or float to feather edges. take your time.
