Washing unsealed wood flooring

My Daughter is renting a house with all new hardwood flooring that was left natural dark oak color. I see no signs of any sealer other then what was on the boards when purchased and installed.

Before she moves, I would like to wash and clean up the wood ( three small girls ) No damage but needs a good cleaning.

I know this sound simple but would like to hear from people who have done this type of cleaning and can recommend the proper soap solution and / or Right method.

Hard to say would figuring out what you really have.
Real wood, engineered, laminite.
It would be hard to belive they just stained it and never applyed any sealer over it.
In any case I would not use soap and water, use a cleaner made just for hard wood floors.

You know the wood may be sealed but with a dual finish sealer.
The floor looks like someone stained it. but there is no sheen.
I'm sure this is engineered flooring.
I think I can solve this problem by going to a floor dealer and see what he
has and present this question to him.
