Question

Walls on top of particle board that got wet

I have several walls that were built on top of an existing floor that consisted of particle board on top of 1x6s. The particle board got wet, and had to be removed, but remains under the walls. I plan on installing 3/4" T&G plywood to replace the particle board, but what should I do about the particle board remaining under the walls? Advice is solicited. Thanks!

How much of it got wet underneath the plates?

How thick is the particle board subfloor?

Walls on top of particle board that got wet

Most of it (if not all) got wet. The particle board is 3/4" (now removed except under the walls) on top of 1x6s. None of the walls are load bearing, but I am concerned about the particle board disintegrating, the walls slumping, and the sheetrock cracking. Thanks!
