Vinyl self stick over linoleum
Just about done with rebuilding old bathroom. Shiney linoleum still on floor. Can I use self sticking vinyl tile over this? The enhance from Lowes staes not to use over linoleum/vinyl. I wood rather not have to rip it up.

Depends, do you want it to stay stuck down?
Peel and stick is one product I flatly refuse to install. It shrinks and leaves open gaps, hard to install straight because of it holding power when it first touches, some places will just not stay stuck down, color does not go all the way through, thin so it will telegraph whatever it's laid over. There's reasons why they suggest not doing it. |

Yes you can. But those peel and stick tiles won't last long, whatever they are put over. They are a temporary floor covering.

Vinyl self stick over linoleum
Wow. Thanks for the feedback. Thought vinyl self stick was my answer. Therefore the next question is..What would you suggest? Vinyl tiles with adhesive( any different than self stick?), Pergo flooring (? in bathroom), or just get to it and ceramic tile...and if so, can I tile over linoleum?

No you can not tile over it and laminite should not be installed in a bathroom.

There are only 2 reasonable options in a bathroom, sheet vinyl or ceramic. And to know if you can use ceramic, you have to know subfloor, joists, spacing and species.
