We just did the carpet in our living room and bedroom which went pretty good for the first time doing bigger rooms. We moved all the furnature into the dinning room while doing the living room. When we went to put the couches back there was a big "dent" in the vinyl and about a 2" section that is "scrunched". One of us must have set the couch down on the vinyl and then pushed it and it caught the vinyl. I have some extra vinyl, obviously the color will be different since the floor is about 12 years old. But that will be better than the 1/2" tall bump in the vinyl now!
I watched this youtube video and it looks like it can be fixed,

Any tips on doing a patch repair? Is the seam sealer I bought a good one or is there something else that I should use? I don't expect this to be perfect due to putting "new" vinyl against 12 year old vinyl but I would like it to last and not come up at the seams. So any advice on this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
