Hi folks. Found your site through Google. Need some advice.
Am attempting to vinyl a roll of wood effect in my hallway- by the front door.
Am intermediate when it comes to DIY. The concrete floors were not finished so well- courtesy of the dodgey developers... its a bit like the house that Jack built.
I had a quote off a firm who said i would need to stick wood down before laying the vinyl and fixing it to the wood. Which i spent all day measuring out and cutting the Ply... i haven't fixed the ply yet as i read your comments re not a good idea... waste of time cause the wood and concrete wont work together with moisture. All valid and (in my case) worthwhile advice
So- really i just need confirmation... its better for me to just cut the vinyl to size and fix with adhesive straight onto the concrete?
Do i need to do anything to the concrete first? (apart from get off all the noggins and fill the corner that's collapsed - which case would polyfiller do the trick?)
Cheers in advance folks. Your opinions and expertise is valuable to me
Thanking you in advance
