Vinyl Floor in Kitchen Split, how to repair?
The vinyl floor in my kitchen has started to split and looks like its starting to curl up. Can anyone recommend a good way to fix it? It looks like it has contracted so even if I push it down you can still see a gap. Would heating it up help?
Here are pics:
you can pick up a huge syringe at a floor store, then get a quart of adhesive for vinyl flooring.
then you can squirt the glue in the crevase after you heat it up a bit with a hairdryer to make it a bit plyable. then place some heave objects on it for a couple days and if it stays down then follow up with a seam sealer.
The problem is that it is curling and that means the backing is staying straight while the rest of the top layers are shrinking. So that causes curls that may not even come out.
