Vinyl to Carpet Transition on concrete

I have a few questions regarding vinyl to carpet transition on concrete.

First, I've read topics that suggest using PL400 or something similar to glue the transition down. I couldn't decipher whether that meant to glue the wood piece itself, or to glue the metal channel that the wood piece snaps into? Those are the only T moldings I am familiar with anyways. (the ones with the channel).

2nd, my transition piece is 13'6" wide and I can't find a piece that large. Do I have other options besides splicing 2 pieces together? I found a 12' T-molding piece but that is as big as I've seen so far.

I've attached 2 pieces of the area, the vinyl is not installed yet. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Transitions are only made 12' long. I normally nail them down with concrete nails.

That's how it's done or use naplock.

That carpet will wrinkle, not being stretched in.

He would still need a transition between the two. But clever attempt to sneak in some spam.

Not a carpet guy but i do know the carpet does need to be streched. Install vinyl then overlap carpet and install a j-bar (think that is what they are called).
