Using stone for transition piece

I have a wood floor that meets a tile floor that is 1.25" higher. The joint is on the tiled edge of the 6-7" wide sill of the entryway. I'd like to use a piece of stone for the transition; it would fit well with the feel of the room.

I plan to just take my measurements to a stone shop and have them cut me something and put a rock face on the high side of it. The other side I will grout to the end of the tile.

Any serious concerns about having the trip-hazard? We're used to the small step needed to get into the room.

Any other relevant suggestions? (install, stone type, sealing, etc)

Thanks!
