Using Pergo on Stairs

I have a carpeted staircase that is sorely in need of a facelift. I don't believe the floor underneath is in good shape. I was thinking about using Pergo/laminate flooring. I've used this before (in the kitchen) and I was happy with the results.

I know they sell a stair nose molding, which is used at the lip of the stair, and a quarter round used where the step meets the riser. However, I know that laminate flooring is supposed to float, so I'm worried that it might not be a good solution for the stairs.

If anyone has any experience or thoughts about putting laminated flooring over stairs, I'd appreciate your insights. Also, if you know where I can get a step-by-step DIY guide for the stair installation that would be helpful, too. Thank you.

Google 'pergo on stairs', at the top will be the pergo site with all of the info. There is too much info to transfer here. Have any questions not answered there, come on back. I've done all kinds of stairs.

I got the instructions. They are good and have a few illustrations. On the stair application, the flooring gets adhesived down without any underlay. This makes sense, and it looks like something I can do. Thank you.
