Uneven areas in tile backer

I installed the tile underlayment yesterday and next comes the tile. I just have one concern:

When working on my layout there are some areas where the tiles (12 X 12) rock slightly, maybe 1/16". Also, the 2 seams where I taped are slightly higher and the tiles rock on top of them as well. I knifed the areas as flat as I could when applying the thinset over the tape but it still created a slight high spot, again about 1/16".

Is a properly applied mortar bed, using a 1/4" X 3/8" notched trowel per manufacturer's instructions, going to take care of the slight imperfections in the floor or am I facing more prep work? :001_unsure:

Thanks

your mortar bed will take care of a 1/16" hieght difference.

If your a real freak (like me) you could always take a belt sander to it
