what size trowel do you guys use when putting down cement board? the specs on wonderboard just say to put thinset under it but does not say what kind of trowel is best. I have used a 1/4 1/4 square and have used a 3/16 vee which is better and why or what do you prefer?
Using a 1/4" (6 mm) square notch trowel, apply a setting bed of polymer modified mortar to the subfloor. Immediately laminate the WonderBoard to the subfloor, leaving a 1/8" – 3/16" (3 – 5 mm) space between the boards at all joints and corners.
