Travertine tile basement installation

New to site, already lots of great info.was told installing travertine tile in a basement could cause problems because that type of tile/stone is so porous.have had a b-dry type system installed, have also taped foil down to see if any moisture collected-none noted.Any help or thoughts would be extremely helpful.thanks kmac
