Default Tips for Leveling Fridge

We bought a new fridge.

The floor slopes 1/2" on the 30" fridge width. The old fridge was shorter so the 1/2" slope was not very apparent against the upper cabinet.

The new fridge should come about 2" under the upper cabinet. I think to 1/2" slope will be very apparent.

It seems that the new fridge is not able to be adjusted side to side. Only front to back.

I'm not ready to take the floor up or install teleposts in the basement yet.

I was thinking of ripping a 1/2" plywood to stick under one side.

Is there something else I can do?

Thanks
Karl

I'd shim it.

It's likely that the weight is on just 4 wheels on the bottom, so you'd only have to shim the low two wheels. It would likely also do the refrigerator doors good to be level. Shouldn't be too hard, just some trial and error. If it's really 1/2" just throw a piece of 1/2" ply under the low side like you said.

Most new fridges have adjustable wheels or legs for leveling. If not all four corners at least the front will be adjustable even on less expensive models.
