Tiling on top of adhesive

Versabond is adequate for porcelain tiles. It's low cost, but very decent.

Custom Blend with the additive is fine too. Custom Blend by itself is a very cheapo basic unmodified mortar. (no good for porcelain). We consider it one small notch above dirt.

Custom blend is a good deal than, I believe it's cheaper than dirt.
