Tiling small Bathroom

I'am putting in a shower and tiling the floor in a small bathroom. I have 2x8 tounge and groove plank sub floor that I am sheating with 1/2" osb, mortar layer and 1/4" hardi to ready for acrylic shower pan to go directly on. There will also be a 3' x 5' tiled floor, are there any issues with the osb under the hardi? In my experience osb is better than plywood to work with. The only issues I was seeing were moisture to osb but isnt that what the hardi backer is for? If your underlayment gets soaked I would think your SOL either way

Hardi over osb should be fine.
